De afgelopen jaren is er in Nederland veel gebeurd rond reisinformatie. Zo is het steeds makkelijker om actuele informatie te krijgen gedurende de reis. De NS bieden bijvoorbeelde actuele vertrektijden aan die ook via de telefoon te benaderen zijn. Ook is er met behulp van Falkplan en de mobiele site van 9292 makkelijk om een reisadvies te krijgen. Het project van Falkplan kreeg subsidie van het programma Mobiliteitsmanagement.

Hollandsche Steden
In 1999 volgde ik het vak Hollandsche Steden in de Republiek aan de faculteit der Geesteswetenschappen van de UvA. Ik heb toen een paper geschreven over de geschiedenis van die steden vanuit planologisch perspectief. Ik heb dit nu ingescand. Het rapport kan je hier vinden.

Hotel Meester

Dit is het hotel van mijn overgrootvader Willem Meester. Het is nu geïncorporeerd in het Victoriahotel, dat je ziet als je het centraal station uit komt. Deze potlood tekening is gemaakt in 1911 door Herman Misset. Over de strijd die het Victoriahotel voerde om uit te breiden heeft Thomas Rosenboom een roman geschreven, Publieke Werken.
